Things we can learn from the present lockdown.
Have you looked at how productive your employees have been during this time? Have you set employee's specific times to work or left it up to them? Could your employee's work more flexible hours? When are your employee's working at their most efficient? (from home & what time of day) Do all your employee's need to travel every day into work? Do your overheads need reviewing? (do you need such a large office space) How is the way you are working now, affecting employees Mental Health? Which employees work better at home or in an office? We have been getting feedback from our customers over the last week about what they feel is now essential in their working practices. Many are saying that a lot of work that is done is not as time sensitive as they first thought. Many are thinking that some employees are better working alone instead of being micro managed. Others are telling us that they are looking at how productive employees have been when working from home, they are also telling us that reviewing all of the above questions are now in the forefront of their thinking when lockdown is over. Perhaps we can change things that we have always done to make it firstly more productive for the company and secondly help our staff with a better work life balance. Sometimes we need an enforced change on how we work to redefine what is important to the running of the company. Perhaps, it could be more streamlined, perhaps, by improving the employees mental Health (by Home working) we can make those employees more efficient in their work. Under difficult circumstances we learn a lot more than when things are running smoothly. Consider some of the changes that could be advantageous to your company after lockdown is lifted. Its food for thought. The Holate Team.
